Almost chic days – simple tasks

I am finding some days I try and fit lot of ‘tasks’ in but actually I find my days much calmer and productive when they are broken into smaller tasks, rather than doing things that leave me feeling as if I have fallen short that day – so here is to celebrate the smaller everyday things in life that we have to do and actually complete.

I have to be realistic about what I can actually do in a day because I am a mum and I work almost full time, so what I do each day has to be achievable and realistic ( so a SMART goals approach -specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, timely – or in my case tangible as I like to see results) helps me to feel like even if I have only managed to do a ‘small’ task today I was still ‘successful’ and on top of my day!

In the spirit of this, here are today’s simple tasks completed –

I put a picture in a frame that has been there for ages and now is on the wall.

I replaced the black ink cartridge in the printer that had run out for ages ago.

I filed and painted my nails.

I read a few pages in the books I’ve been trying to read for ages.

I messaged a friend I haven’t spoken to in a while.

What tasks have you been putting off for a while?
