Fussy natural deodorant – to try or not to try?

My husband decided one day that he was going to switch some of his usual products to more natural ones. The first one he did was this deodorant from Fussy. I was a bit later to try this, but he actually bought some for me to try so I decided to give it a go. I had been more interested in using more natural products over the past few years, especially since having a little one. Looking after their health as much as possible is a primary objective. My friend (who has a kid a similar age) had told me told me about the Yuka app which I have found very useful in checking products. It’s not always straight forward to follow but I do use it now to inform my choices. In the meantime, I thought I would try this natural deodorant from Fussy that my husband had switched to.

I do like the packaging and the ease of the stick, although at first I found doing the refill tricky to work out but it is relatively straight forward. It is fully refillable and eco-friendly packaging rather than a spray and it is very convenient to put it into your bag for on the go. I tried different deodorants smells, and they are all nice but my favourite was definitely the Jasmine Bloom, so much so I restocked on this and would use this just for the smell. Throughout the day, I did find myself wanting to use my other usual sprays for days which were more energetic or warmer, as I wasn’t sure I felt completely ‘fresh’. That being said my husband has totally switched to it now so he finds it works absolutely fine and so I think it must very much depend on your biochemistry how effective it is!

The verdict

Would I still buy it? Yes – as I said the smells are lovely and that justifies it in my opinion as I was thinking about it a lot when I had finished my refillable, but I can’t fully commit to using in on days when I am at work or it’s really hot outside, because I think I am too much of a ‘warm’ person and its just not ‘enough’! However, I will continue to use it, I like the fact I have another alternative option and even if I use an antiperspirant less than before, that is no bad thing.

I would give it a try and see what you think! There are lots on the market now and its so much easier to find a natural option version than ever before so worth having a look what is available.

A bientot!
